Sharing in PeerNotes happens in two deliberate stages. First you share a note with workspace members to get feedback while the thinking is still developing. Then, when the note holds up, you publish it as an article — the finished version, for the whole workspace. Keeping these separate is the point: feedback happens early, publication means something.

Stage 1: Share a note for feedback

1

Open the note's share panel

From the note editor, open the share panel to control who can see the note.
2

Choose your reviewers

Share with your whole workspace or with specific members — useful for early drafts, sensitive topics, or when you want a couple of trusted readers before going wider.
3

Invite challenge

Say what kind of input you want. “Draft — poke holes in the argument” gets you better feedback than an unlabelled document ever will.
You can adjust a note’s sharing at any time — widen it as the draft matures, or keep it narrow while the idea is fragile.

Stage 2: Publish as an article

When review has done its work, publish:
1

Select Publish in the note editor

The publish dialog previews the article exactly as readers will see it — title, excerpt, and estimated reading time.
2

Choose note visibility

Decide whether readers can see the working note behind the article. Keep it visible to let teammates trace how the thinking developed; hide it to keep focus on the finished piece.
3

Publish

The article appears in the workspace’s Articles feed for every member.
If the thinking evolves later, edit the note and republish — the article updates in place.

What stays private

Your thoughts and sources are always private to you. Teammates only ever see what you deliberately share: notes you’ve opened to them, and articles you’ve published. That privacy is what makes honest capture possible — you can think freely, then choose what’s ready for other eyes.
Avoid publishing a work-in-progress as an article. Articles carry a quality signal for your teammates — for early feedback, share the note instead.
