# Claude plugin: use PeerNotes from Claude

> Install the PeerNotes plugin for Claude Code and Claude Cowork. Ask Claude about your workspace, and schedule syncs that import meeting notes, GitHub summaries, and documents.

The PeerNotes plugin connects Claude to your [workspace](/core-concepts/workspace). It works in **Claude Code** and **Claude Cowork**. The plugin does two jobs:

* **Ask Claude about your workspace.** Anyone on the team can search, read, and ask questions about PeerNotes content. Claude can also create, edit, and comment on it for you.
* **Keep the team workspace filled.** One person on the team, the **sync admin**, sets up [scheduled syncs](/integrations/scheduled-syncs). The syncs import meeting transcripts, daily GitHub code summaries, and documents from your other tools into PeerNotes.

> *"What did we decide about pricing? Check PeerNotes."*
> — *Read 6 notes and 3 meeting transcripts from your workspace. You agreed on two tiers…*

The plugin is open source at [github.com/Obtainable-ai/agent-plugins](https://github.com/Obtainable-ai/agent-plugins).

      <Step title="Sign in to PeerNotes">
        Open **Settings → Connectors → Peernotes plugin** and sign in to **Peernotes** with your PeerNotes account.
      </Step>

  </Tab>
</Tabs>

The plugin offers several connectors. Only **Peernotes** is required. Sign in to the others only if your team's syncs use them. See [Connectors](#connectors).

### Roll out to your whole company

An admin can turn the plugin on for everyone through Claude Code managed settings. Open **claude.ai admin → Claude Code → Managed settings**, or use your MDM, and add:

```json theme={null}
{
  "extraKnownMarketplaces": {
    "obtainable": {
      "source": { "source": "github", "repo": "obtainable-ai/agent-plugins" }
    }
  },
  "enabledPlugins": {
    "peernotes@obtainable": true
  }
}
```

## Ask Claude about your workspace

The `peernotes` skill lets Claude work with your PeerNotes content. Ask in plain language:

* *"Search PeerNotes for what we know about onboarding drop-off."*
* *"Show my latest notes."*
* *"Save this as a thought in PeerNotes."*
* *"Comment on the pricing note with these three questions."*

Claude only reaches the **workspaces your PeerNotes account can already open**. Access follows your account. If you leave a workspace, Claude loses access to it too.

## Import data with scheduled syncs

The plugin can also schedule syncs that import content from your team's other tools into PeerNotes. One person, the **sync admin**, sets them up by asking Claude: *"Set up PeerNotes for my team."*

| Sync | What it imports | Default schedule |
| - | - | - |
| **Meeting notes** | A transcript of every team meeting, from notetakers, Zoom, Teams, Slack huddles, shared folders, and email | Weekdays, about 6 pm |
| **GitHub summaries** | A daily digest per repository, plus a team engineering digest | Daily, about 8 am |
| **Document sync** | New and changed documents from Google Drive, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Notion | Daily, about 1 am |

Each imported item becomes a [source](/core-concepts/sources) in your workspace. Syncs only read from your tools, skip private and sensitive content by default, and never create duplicates.

See [Scheduled syncs](/integrations/scheduled-syncs) for setup, one-time backfills, managing schedules, and what syncs skip.

## Connectors

**Peernotes** is the only required connector. The others are needed only for the [scheduled syncs](/integrations/scheduled-syncs) your team uses.

| Connector | Used by |
| - | - |
| **Peernotes** | Everything (required) |
| **Slack** | Meeting notes: huddle canvases and recaps |
| **Gmail**, **Google Calendar** | Meeting notes: recap emails, meeting lookup |
| **Google Drive** | Meeting notes (transcript folders) and document sync |
| **GitHub** | GitHub summaries. Grant it access to the org's private repos in GitHub. |
| **Microsoft 365** | Meeting notes (Outlook, Teams) and document sync (OneDrive, SharePoint). Needs one-time admin consent in Microsoft Entra. |
| **Notion** | Document sync |
| **Zoom**, **Fireflies**, **Otter**, **Fathom**, **Gong**, **Read.ai**, **Granola**, **Dropbox** | Meeting notes. Gong needs a paid seat, enabled by an admin. |

In Cowork, Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and GitHub are standard connectors. Connect them once in **Settings → Connectors**, and the plugin uses them. The rest come with the plugin. Claude.ai connectors don't carry over to Claude Code, so in Claude Code you sign in to each one with `/mcp`.
