# Clip pages into your PeerNotes workspace

> Save any web page as a source in your PeerNotes workspace with the browser extension — and capture your reaction as a thought while you're there.

The PeerNotes browser extension lets you save what you're reading — a documentation page, a blog post, a news story — directly into your workspace as a [source](/core-concepts/sources), without breaking your reading flow. And because a saved page is only half the value, the clipper also asks the question that matters: *what do you think about this page?*

## Clip a page

<Steps>
  <Step title="Install the clipper">
    If you haven't yet, install the [PeerNotes clipper from the Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ojongipbblbjdoidjgmefhdhngmimhbi). It works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera — see [Install PeerNotes](/getting-started/install-extension) for other platforms.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the extension on any page">
    Click the PeerNotes icon in your browser toolbar while viewing the page you want to keep.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save the page">
    The page is saved to your workspace as a source, with its content and URL attached — so you can always get back to the original.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your thought">
    Before you move on, jot your reaction in the capture box — *"What thoughts does this bring up?"* — and press Enter. The thought is saved linked to the page, ready to resurface when you write about the topic later.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  The thought is the part you'll thank yourself for. A saved page tells you *what* you read; a captured reaction tells you *why it mattered*. Even one sentence is enough.
</Tip>

## Where clips go

Clipped pages land in your **Sources** library, alongside your uploaded documents and files. Thoughts you captured with them appear in your **Thoughts** feed, each linked back to its source — click the source chip on any thought to reopen the original page content.

From there, clips flow into the normal PeerNotes pipeline: the agent clusters your reading reactions into [topics](/core-concepts/topics), and when a theme ripens you compile those thoughts into a [note](/core-concepts/notes).

## Saved pages, offline

The extension keeps your saved pages available in its own **Saved Pages** view, synced with your workspace — handy for quickly checking what you've already clipped without opening the app.

<Note>
  The clipper installs from the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ojongipbblbjdoidjgmefhdhngmimhbi) and works in every Chromium-based browser. Firefox and Safari support is on the way — see [Install PeerNotes](/getting-started/install-extension).
